The Berlin Conference was about discussing the separation of Africa. It was called by a German chancellor Otto Von Bismark to end the confusion of the control of Africa. The job of this meeting was to guarantee that every European nation that asserted ownership of portion of Africa had to introduce civilization in the manner of Christianity and trade to each region it would occupy. Meaning they wanted to enforce Christianity as a worldwide religion, and rule over Africa in the name of god. They wanted to push their religion to purify the lives of some Africans for the reason that they saw Africans were not disciplined.
By 1914, 90% of Africa was split among seven European countries, with only Liberia and Ethiopia staying autonomous. Many of the limits taken up at the Berlin Conference by Europeans still persist with little respect for natural monuments or historical racial or political limits set by the Africans themselves. The Europeans used their power to get what they desired in the country of Africa. There were many valuable raw materials such as rubber and salt that were in the different parts of Africa. They needed this in order to increase the trades they had connected to other countries.
